Chopin Pleyel International Piano Competition in Nohant

We are delighted to announce that tickets for the Competition are now on sale!

All rounds of the competition will take place in the Frédéric Chopin Auditorium from 15 to 23 August 2026, at the Domaine de George Sand in Nohant (Centre des monuments nationaux) – in the commune of Nohant-Vicq (Indre).

CALENDAR AND PRICES FOR TICKETS AND PACKAGES 

Saturday 15 August at 8pm: Opening concert in tribute to Aldo Ciccolini, the founder of the Nohant Chopin Festival.

Featuring members of the competition jury: pianists Boris Berman, Akiko Ebi, Yves Henry, Ewa Poblocka, Bruno Rigutto, Rena Shereshewskaya and Danwen Wei.

Ticket prices: Category A: €60 – B: €50 – C: €30.

Sunday 16 and Monday 17 August, from 10am to 1pm and then from 2.30pm to 6pm:
First qualifying round, lasting 20 minutes per candidate (14 candidates per day).

Ticket prices: morning: €15 / afternoon: €15 (single price, unreserved seating)

Day pass: €25

Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 August, from 10am to 1pm and then from 2.30pm to 6pm:

Second qualifying round, lasting 40 minutes per candidate (6 candidates per day).

Ticket prices: morning €25 / afternoon €25 (single price, unreserved seating)
Day pass: €35

Friday 21 August, from 2.30 pm to 6 pm: solo final round, lasting 60 minutes per candidate (3 candidates).

Friday 21 August, from 7.30 pm to 10 pm: final round with orchestra, lasting 45 minutes per candidate (3 candidates).

Day pass: Category A: €90 - B: €70 - C: €50

Saturday 22 August, from 2.30 pm to 6 pm: solo final round, lasting 60 minutes per candidate (3 candidates).

Saturday 22 August, from 7.30 pm to 10 pm: final round with orchestra, lasting 45 minutes per candidate (3 candidates).

Sunday 23 August, 3 pm: Gala concert and awards ceremony.

Featuring the top three prize-winners: the third- and second-place winners will perform for 15 and 30 minutes respectively.
The first-prize winner of the Competition will perform one of Chopin’s two concertos with the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia, conducted by Vardan Mardirossian.
